Fatih Karagümrük, a club that was recently relegated from the Turkish top tier, announced on its official X page that it has signed 34-year-old Serbian centre-forward Aleksandar Pešić. This is a return for the forward to the team, where he previously played in the 2021–2022 season. On Friday, Ferencváros announced Pešić's departure, which was the same day his new club confirmed his arrival. His contract with Ferencváros was scheduled to expire on June 30. His departure was not unexpected because head coach Robbie Keane did not include him in his plans during the spring. Pešić, who has one cap for the Serbian national team, joins the Turkish side as a free agent. He had originally joined Ferencváros from Crvena zvezda in the summer of 2023 for a fee reported to be €1.2 million. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €500k.
