Fabrizio Romano reported that Bayer Leverkusen has agreed to sign Aleksa Damjanović from Crvena Zvezda and that the deal is done. Bayer will pay a fixed fee of 5 million euros, which can rise to 8 million euros with bonuses. Crvena Zvezda will also have a percentage of Damjanović's future sale. The transfer will be finalized in June 2026.

Aleksa Damjanović is expected to transfer to Bayer Leverkusen for a fee reported to be eight million euros plus a 10 percent sell-on clause. Damjanović is scheduled to travel to Leverkusen on Thursday for medical examinations and will sign for the club if these are successful. It is anticipated that after signing his contract with the German team, he will return to Belgrade before officially moving to Leverkusen in the summer.
