Albian Hajdari Transfer from Lugano to TSG Hoffenheim
Hoffenheim has officially signed Swiss central defender Albian Hajdari from Lugano. The 22-year-old, who previously developed in the youth systems of Basel and Juventus, has committed to a long-term contract with the German club. Andreas Schicker, the sporting director, indicated that due to Koki Machida's severe knee injury, they intended to strengthen the central defense and considered Hajdari to be a perfect fit. Schicker emphasized Hajdari's qualities as a young, left-footed defender with a solid formation and experience in both the Swiss league and European competitions. Hajdari, who had been on their radar for some time, expressed his excitement about the new challenge in the Bundesliga, noting that the discussions with the management were excellent and he is dedicated to contributing to the club's objectives. Now a Swiss national team player, Hajdari accumulated 110 appearances, 5 goals, and 1 assist during his time at Lugano, demonstrating his capability in various competitions including the Swiss Cup and UEFA qualifiers.
