Albert Vallci, a 30-year-old Austrian defender most recently with St. Gallen, is expected to join Sturm Graz on "Deadline Day." The transfer is considered financially viable, with his market value at 400,000 euros and he has terminated his contract in Switzerland. A potential move would be the culmination of a long-standing interest, as Vallci, an ardent Sturm fan, was previously close to joining the club in 2019. At that time, his former club Wacker Innsbruck was asking for 600,000 euros for the player, who had been on former sporting director Günter Kreissl's list for a long time. However, Red Bull Salzburg stepped in to complete the transfer instead. Vallci joined St. Gallen in August 2022 and has made 11 appearances in the Super League this season, providing one assist. He has not received a cap for the Austrian national team.
