Alan Virginius Transfer from Young Boys to Lecce

39d ago

Alan Virginius was one of the candidates for departure from BSC Young Boys, with a reported transfer fee between six and 15 million. L'Equipe reported a figure of ten to 15 million. Recently, interested clubs included Genoa and Lecce from Serie A, as well as HSV, Anderlecht, and Paderborn. However, a transfer in this window is considered unlikely due to an adductor injury sustained in the match against Sion, which will prevent Virginius from playing for about a month.

Lecce is considering 23-year-old French player Alan Virginius as an alternative transfer target to reinforce their attack. The club's preferred option is Philip Otele from Basel; however, an agreement has not been reached as the Swiss club is asking for a minimum of 5 million euros. The alternative, Virginius, also plays in Switzerland for Young Boys, which is asking for a fee of 6 million euros for the player. Virginius has been capped once for the France U21 team, has a contract with the Swiss club until June 2029, and has a current valuation of €3.00m according to Transfermarkt. Young Boys signed him from LOSC Lille in July 2025 for a fee that was reported to be €2.5 million. Genoa and Rayo Vallecano are other clubs that have recently been linked with the player.
