Hull City sold Aidon Shehu to Panathinaikos because they faced the threat of a points deduction for breaching English Premier League profit and sustainability regulations. The club had to sell before the accounting period ended in June.

The BBC reports that Hull have sold Aidon Sehou to Panathinaikos. Hull confirmed on Wednesday morning that the fee is a reported 2.5 million pounds. Sehou was acquired from Southend United two years ago for a small fee. He did not feature in Hull's first team and spent the end of last season on loan at Scarborough Athletic.

Panathinaikos has announced that they have signed Aidon Sehu from Hull. Sehu is a 19-year-old central midfielder and an Albanian U21 international. He signed a three-year contract.

Panathinaikos is nearing an agreement with Hull to acquire Aidon Shehu, a 19-year-old Albanian international midfielder who also holds English nationality. His contract with Hull expires on 30/06/2026. The deal is reported to be around 2.6 million pounds, while the purchase amount from the British club will be just over 1 million euros. Aidon Shehu is regarded as a prospect for the future and is not intended for the first team at Panathinaikos, as he is set to be loaned out following his acquisition. He has played 10 times for Albania U21, scoring one goal, and has been with Hull since 2024.
