According to reports, 28-year-old Algerian international central defender Ahmed Touba is set to join Le Havre on a one-season loan without a purchase option. The transfer is dependent on him passing a medical examination. Touba has already been active, having played in three Europa Conference League qualifying matches for Panathinaikos. The defender also had interest from Italy, where he was monitored by Monza, and received interest in the Netherlands, but he rejected approaches from FC Utrecht and NEC Nijmegen to secure a return to France. Touba, who has 15 caps and one goal for Algeria, joined Panathinaikos in July 2025 and is under contract until June 2028; his current Transfermarkt valuation is €2.50m.
