According to journalist Haluk Yürekli, Trabzonspor was one of three clubs, along with Shakhtar and Göztepe, to make a concrete offer for Galatasaray's 25-year-old Turkish winger, Ahmed Kutucu. However, Galatasaray was not prepared to let the player leave for any less than 6 million euros. As no interested party was willing to meet that valuation, all proposals were rejected and a transfer did not happen. The player's contract runs until June 2028, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €5 million.
