An agreement for Argentinian right-back Agustín Giay to move to Atlético Madrid from Palmeiras is reportedly close, with a basic understanding reached for a deal valued at slightly under 40 million. During the last transfer market, Atalanta had followed the player, while Italian clubs Roma and Napoli have also been linked with him. The 22-year-old joined Palmeiras in July 2024, is under contract until the end of 2030, and has 14 caps for the Argentina U20 team.
