RC Lens vice-captain Adrien Thomasson, a 32-year-old French-Croatian midfielder whose contract is expiring, will leave the club at the end of the season. After weeks of consideration, Thomasson recently decided not to accept a new contract proposal from RC Lens in order to pursue a new challenge; Canal+ reported this decision. His future is expected to be with a more lucrative French project offering a longer contract, with Paris FC or Rennes mentioned as possibilities. The departure could be made official in the coming days. Thomasson joined Lens from Strasbourg in January 2023 for a reported €3.9 million and has a current market value of €4.50m, according to Transfermarkt.
