NEC is set to sign twenty-year-old Moroccan-Dutch midfielder Adam Tahaui, considered one of the important players from their rival Vitesse. The transfer is almost complete after an agreement in principle was reached between the clubs on a Friday, following weeks of negotiations. The deal, which includes a resale percentage, is reportedly worth approximately 650,000 euros for the midfielder, who had one year remaining on his contract. The transfer is contingent on Tahaui passing a medical, after which he is expected to sign a four-year contract. ESPN reports that NEC outbid FC Utrecht for the player, whom they viewed as an alternative for Sami Ouaissa. Tahaui has a current Transfermarkt market value of €500k and has been capped once by the Morocco U23 national team.
