On its official website, FC Midtjylland has announced it is buying back Adam Nygaard from FC Fredericia, with the move to become effective in the summer. The club has exercised a buy-back clause to re-sign the 21-year-old Danish defender, who had moved to FC Fredericia on a permanent basis in the summer of 2025. Sporting director Kristian Bach Bak told the club's website he is pleased to have the young defender return. Bak noted Nygaard's significant development at Fredericia, where he gained considerable senior-level experience. The club now looks forward to him competing for a place in the squad as a more experienced player. The centre-back has one cap for the Denmark U19 team and Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €600k.
