Al Ahly has proposed an exchange deal to loan international defender Achraf Dari to Raja Club Athletic for one and a half years, with the Egyptian club covering half of his salary. Raja has requested additional time before giving a response. According to sources, the proposal is being seriously considered. This is despite Achraf Dari's initial reluctance, which is due to the historical rivalry between his formative club, Wydad, and Raja.

Achraf Dari, a 26-year-old Moroccan Centre-Back, joined Al Ahly FC in August 2024 with a contract that runs until June 2028. He rejected the sale of his contract in the upcoming winter transfer window to a club in the Libyan league, insisting that the club pay him the full amount of his contract before he would agree to leave. The defender has 7 caps for Morocco and has made 3 appearances in the Egyptian Premier League this season. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €1.50m.
