FC Midtjylland made a four million euro bid for 26-year-old Nigerian winger Abraham Marcus during the final days of the transfer window. The offer was rejected by his club, Estrela Amadora, and the player. Marcus, who reportedly has ambitions of playing in a major league, is also said to have turned down opportunities from clubs in Brazil, Saudi Arabia, and Mexico during the summer. He chose to remain at his current club to maintain his form and get closer to a national team spot. He joined his current club in July 2025 and his contract runs until 2028. He has two caps for Nigeria. His current Transfermarkt market value is €1.00m. Lecce and Vasco da Gama were among the clubs reportedly interested in the player.
