Second division club AS Saint-Étienne is seeking to loan French and Ivorian central defender Aboubaka Soumahoro from Hamburger SV for the remainder of the season, with a purchase option also being discussed. The 20-year-old moved to the German club from Paris FC last February for two million euros and holds a contract that runs until 2029. Soumahoro, who has been capped eight times for the France U20 team, has made four appearances in the Bundesliga this season. His current Transfermarkt valuation is €1.80m.
