According to Africafoot, Parma Calcio 1913 recently contacted Abakar Sylla's entourage about a potential transfer, which could restart negotiations.

The transfer of Ivorian central defender Abakar Sylla from Strasbourg to Parma was canceled on the last day of the winter transfer market. The two clubs had already signed the contracts for his move to Italy on a dry loan basis. However, the player changed his mind and did not sign the documents, causing the transfer to Parma to fall through.

Abakar Sylla joins Parma on a loan deal with an option to buy. Parma has reached an agreement with the French club Strasbourg for the defender born in 2002. Lazio and Southampton also showed interest in Sylla, but Parma secured the deal.
