Elijah Just, a 26-year-old right winger for Motherwell, is viewed as a possible replacement for Tom Fellows. Southampton are reportedly competing with Celtic and Rangers to sign the New Zealand international, who has been at the World Cup. Some teams described as seriously big are interested in signing Just, who has been described by his national team manager, Darren Bazeley, as the best player in the Scottish league.
Just joined Motherwell in July 2025 and has a contract until May 2027. In the 2025/2026 Scottish Premiership season, he made 30 appearances, scoring 7 goals and providing 8 assists. For the New Zealand national team, he has earned 47 caps and scored 12 goals. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €2.50m, though reports from June 2026 suggested it would take a fee of more than £4.7 million to sign him.
