VfL Wolfsburg among clubs interested in Woyo Coulibaly

Several prominent clubs have reportedly contacted the Leicester City defender about a potential transfer.

Following his performances at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, several prominent clubs have directly contacted 26-year-old Woyo Coulibaly and his representatives; these clubs include VfL Wolfsburg, Naples, Real Sociedad, and Olympique de Marseille. This interest has arisen while his current loan club, Sassuolo, is negotiating with his parent club, Leicester City, for a permanent transfer.

The coach for the Italian side, Fabio Grosso, has expressed a strong desire to keep the Malian defender. Sassuolo is in a good position to retain him, having already prepared an offer. The defender has five caps for Mali, is contracted with Leicester City until June 2029, and has made 10 appearances in Serie A this season. His current market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €2.00m. Leicester City signed him from Parma in January 2025 for a fee reported as being between €3.0m and €4.0m.
