Beşiktaş and Fenerbahçe are both interested in signing Nigerian international Paul Onuachu this summer. While Beşiktaş is observing the situation and has not yet made a proposal, Trabzonspor has rejected two successive offers from Fenerbahçe. It is reported that Saudi club Al Ahli is also a long-standing suitor for the striker. Onuachu is 32 years old and has 34 caps and 5 goals for his country.
Trabzonspor's management plans to hold a meeting to make a final decision on the player's future. Although the club would prefer to keep Onuachu, who joined from Southampton in July 2025, they are open to a transfer if a satisfactory offer is received, setting their asking price at €30 million. The club has already rejected bids between €20 and €25 million this summer, including a reported €20 million offer from Al Ahli in June 2026. Onuachu's contract runs until the summer of 2028 and he has a current Transfermarkt market value of €6.00m. He has reportedly remained calm and resumed pre-season training without pushing for a move. His move to Trabzonspor was for a reported fee of €5.67 million, while his prior transfer from Genk to Southampton in January 2023 was for €18 million.
