St Mirren defender Miguel Freckleton is in advanced talks to join Austrian champions LASK. The 22-year-old centre-back joined from Sheffield United for a six-figure fee on a two-year deal in July 2025. It is reported that he attracted interest from several other European clubs after his first season in Scotland. In the 2025/2026 Scottish Premiership season, the English-Jamaican defender made 32 appearances, scored 4 goals, and provided 1 assist.
LASK is attempting to sign Freckleton as they seek to strengthen their defence following the departure of centre-back Modou Keba Cisse to Premier League club Aston Villa. It is said that talks for a permanent transfer are progressing well, and it is reported that all parties want to finalize an agreement in the coming days. According to Transfermarkt, Freckleton's current market value is €200k.
