Roma are considering Khéphren Thuram as a potential replacement for Manu Koné, whose future with the club is uncertain amid strong interest from Manchester United and Chelsea. Manchester United is reportedly prepared to offer over 50 million euros for Koné. Consequently, Roma is evaluating alternatives, and Thuram, a 25-year-old French international midfielder from Juventus, is a profile they are considering. This is currently considered a hypothesis, but the club might pursue a deal if Koné were to leave, partly as a response to the unexpected transfer of Zeki Celik to Juventus.
Thuram is not the only player being considered, as Danilo of Botafogo is another option. Thuram, who has four caps for France, joined Juventus from OGC Nice in July 2024 for a reported €20 million, and his contract runs until 2029. His market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €38 million. Recent reports from summer 2026 indicate Juventus's asking price is between €40 million and €50 million, after a reported €50 million cash offer from a Saudi club was rejected in January 2026.
