Naif Aguerd, a 30-year-old Moroccan international centre-back, was recruited by Olympique de Marseille one year ago and has a contract until 2030. It is reported that he is not certain to stay for the current season. His former club, Stade Rennais, where he played from 2020 to 2022, is very interested in his return. However, the potential transfer is described as very complicated at present.
A clause established when he signed for OM makes Aguerd available for a €15 million fee, payable in one installment, until July 31. After that date, he could be sold for a higher price. The 64-cap international has also been associated with Al Sadd. It is reported that Al Sadd recently did not meet his release price.
