RB Leipzig is pursuing a permanent transfer for Simon Adingra, a 24-year-old Ivory Coast international who plays for Sunderland. There is considerable competition for the player. AS Roma also intends to make a permanent offer. From England, Ipswich and Hull City are interested in a similar deal, and West Ham, which has been relegated to the Championship, is also interested in signing the winger. It is reported that discussions have already occurred between the London club and the player.

This interest in a permanent move is a complication for AS Monaco, which was hoping to secure Adingra on another loan. Adingra has 30 caps for his country and is under contract with Sunderland until 2030. His current market value is €22.00m, according to Transfermarkt. Sunderland acquired him from Brighton in July 2025 for a reported €24 million. Reports in June 2026 mentioned a purchase option for Monaco valued at €17 million.
