Rangers are reportedly planning a move to re-sign 28-year-old Czech Republic winger Václav Černý from Beşiktaş this summer. The player was on loan at Ibrox during the 2024/25 campaign. Reports of his desire to leave the Turkish club have resurfaced after he started just one of the final six games of the season. The situation follows events in January when similar reports emerged that Černý wanted to depart. In response at the time, Besiktas released a statement strongly refuting the claims, declaring that any suggestion the player was unhappy and had requested a transfer was entirely fabricated.
Černý has 30 caps and 8 goals for Czechia. In the 2025/2026 Süper Lig season, he made 30 appearances, scoring 5 goals and providing 8 assists. Transfermarkt lists his current market value as €7.00m.
