Pisa is among several clubs interested in Cédric Bakambu, a 34-year-old DR Congo international who is the main candidate to leave Real Betis as the club seeks to sell players before signing a new striker. Besides Pisa, Oviedo, Alavés, and Genoa have also shown interest, and Genoa is considered the most probable club to sign him. Negotiations are not yet finalized, with twelve days remaining in the transfer market.
Bakambu has 66 caps and 21 goals for his country, a contract with the Spanish club until June 2026, and a current market value of €1.40m, according to Transfermarkt. He has scored one goal in seven LaLiga appearances this season. The transfer fee is expected to be minimal; Betis reportedly signed him for €3 million in February 2024, and reports from January 2026 suggest the club would be satisfied if an acquiring club paid the remainder of his salary.
