According to Globo.com, multiple clubs are interested in the transfer situation of the 24-year-old Brazilian defensive midfielder, Danilo. In recent weeks, both Palmeiras and Zenit have made inquiries about Danilo's situation, but there has been no significant progress towards his departure. An intermediary also inquired about Flamengo's interest in the player and was informed that the rival club is not currently looking to sign him.
Botafogo previously rejected a €30 million offer from Fulham in September 2025. The club is expected to be willing to sell Danilo for an offer equal to or greater than the €23 million fee they paid to Nottingham Forest for him in July 2025. Danilo, who has not yet been capped by Brazil, has a contract with Botafogo until June 2029. His current market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €22.00m. He had previously transferred from Palmeiras to Nottingham Forest in January 2023 for a fee of €20 million.
