Oxford United, who are looking for defensive players following their relegation from the Championship, are reportedly interested in Falkirk's Scottish centre back Liam Henderson. The Yellows are considering acquiring the 29-year-old before the summer transfer window. United are apparently competing with League One rivals Plymouth Argyle, and it is reported that both clubs are increasing their interest.
Both Oxford and the Pilgrims had scouts observe Henderson during the final weeks of the season, and the scouts had a positive impression of his performances in Falkirk's first season in the top flight. Oxford's interest in Henderson began because of their initial interest in his Falkirk teammate, Barney Stewart. Henderson joined Falkirk in July 2022 and his contract is set to expire on May 31, 2028. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €100k.
