According to Fabrizio Romano, Monza has presented an offer to sign 28-year-old goalkeeper Jacob Widell Zetterström from Derby County, with the proposal to the English club being for €2.5 million plus a 50% share of any future resale fee. The Italian club is seeking to reinforce its goalkeeping position and aims to acquire the player on a permanent deal.
Zetterström performed for Sweden at the last World Cup. His current club competes in the Championship. Zetterström, who has five caps for Sweden, joined Derby in August 2024 and his contract is valid until June 2027. Wolverhampton Wanderers and Olympique Lyonnais are among several other clubs that have also reportedly been associated with the player. In the summer of 2026, reports cited a potential transfer fee of £15 million (approximately €18 million), a figure Derby had also reportedly set as an asking price in January 2026.
