AS Monaco is considering selling 30-year-old Aleksandr Golovin to raise funds and satisfy financial regulators, particularly after other transfers failed. It is reported that the Russian international, at this point in his career, is open to leaving the club to return to his home country.

Both Zenit Saint-Petersburg and Spartak Moscow are considering recruiting the midfielder. With the Russian summer transfer window open until September 10, Monaco hopes to get between 20 and 25 million euros for Golovin, who has a contract that runs until June 2029. Golovin has 52 caps and 9 goals for Russia, joined Monaco in July 2018, and has a current market value of €18.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
