As Eintracht Frankfurt makes efforts to sign a new number one goalkeeper, with Freiburg's Noah Atubolu being a target, a departure for either the 31-year-old German goalkeeper Michael Zetterer or Kaua Santos would be necessary. Reports claimed that Zetterer was close to a transfer to Leeds United to become the number two keeper.

However, Zetterer's agent, Nico Pellatz, told BILD that they were very surprised by these reports and that they were not true. Pellatz stated that a move is not currently an option for the player because he and his family are very happy in Frankfurt. The agent also clarified that an early departure is not planned, noting that Zetterer signed a lucrative contract with Eintracht until 2029, fully aware that he was not intended to be the first-choice goalkeeper. Zetterer's current Transfermarkt market value is €4.00m.
