Saudi Arabian clubs Al-Ahli and Al-Ittihad have shown interest in 23-year-old Argentinian winger Matias Soulé, with both reportedly prepared to pay €40 million and offer the player a significant salary. However, Soulé is currently not very inclined to move to the Middle East, preferring to remain in European football. The potential sale is being considered as Roma needs to generate capital gains by June 30th to comply with UEFA regulations.

In the 2025/2026 Serie A season, he made 33 appearances, scoring 6 goals and providing 5 assists. In addition to the Saudi interest, Aston Villa's interest is described as strong, and there is also attention from Bundesliga clubs, including Borussia Dortmund and Stuttgart. Juventus also retains a 10% sell-on clause for the player, who joined Roma from the Turin club in July 2024 for a fee of €25.6 million. Soulé's contract with Roma runs until June 2029, and his current market value is €35.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
