Swansea City's 23-year-old midfielder Leo Walta has completed a season-long loan move to Los Angeles FC, months after joining the Swans from Sirius in January. The Finnish player's move comes after his limited game time, having only played six minutes of league action this season. Walta has joined the MLS side on loan until January 2027, subject to clearance, and the deal includes an option to make the transfer permanent.
John Thorrington, LAFC's president of soccer operations, said that Walta is a talented young player whose creativity, technical ability, and midfield versatility can make him an important part of their team as they pursue trophies. Thorrington also thanked Swansea for their collaboration. Walta has earned 14 caps and scored one goal for Finland. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €3.00m.
