Leicester has shown interest in signing 30-year-old Finnish international Glen Kamara on loan, while Nice and Ipswich are also reportedly interested in a similar deal. However, Stade Rennais is only willing to consider a permanent departure for the midfielder and has rejected all approaches.
More recently, Norwich attempted a loan with an option to buy, but the French club also rejected this offer. Kamara, who is under contract with Rennes until June 2028, was said to be attracted to the possibility of joining Norwich. The midfielder, who has made 70 appearances for his national team, has made three appearances in Ligue 1 this season. Stade Rennais paid a reported €10 million to sign Kamara from Leeds United in July 2024 and in mid-2025 was reportedly hoping for up to €6 million for a sale. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €2.5 million.
