Jessic Ngankam set for Wolfsberger AC loan

The Eintracht Frankfurt striker is expected to complete a loan transfer on deadline day.

Jessic Ngankam is expected to be signed on loan by Wolfsberger AC from Eintracht Frankfurt, with the deal anticipated for completion on deadline day. According to a report from "BILD", the 25-year-old German-Cameroonian had previously received multiple offers from the 2. Bundesliga and from abroad but had decided against a move. The loan is reportedly Wolfsberger's reaction to an injury to striker Markus Pink. The "Kronen Zeitung" reports that Pink has suffered an inner ligament tear and may be out for the rest of the season.

Ngankam has made 3 appearances in the Bundesliga this season and is under contract with Frankfurt until June 2028. He has been capped five times for Germany's U21 team, scoring one goal. His current Transfermarkt market value is €1.00m. Eintracht Frankfurt signed him from Hertha BSC in July 2023 for a reported fee of €4.0 million. In the spring of 2025, the club's asking price for a permanent transfer was reportedly between €1.5 million and €4 million.
