Gedson Fernandes reportedly willing to return to Beşiktaş

The Portuguese midfielder is said to be unhappy in Russia and prepared to negotiate a transfer back to his former club.

Gedson Fernandes, a 27-year-old Portuguese central midfielder, previously insisted on a move to Spartak Moskva, for which Beşiktaş accepted a reported €20.7 million. The player is now said to be unhappy and struggling to adapt in Russia. As his current club is not close to achieving its championship goals, Fernandes is reportedly willing to return to Beşiktaş and is prepared to accept an annual salary of €3 million.

It is stated that Beşiktaş President Serdal Adalı, for whom bringing the player back is a primary end-of-season objective, has personally begun negotiations with both Spartak Moskova and the player for the transfer. The two-cap Portugal international is under contract with the Russian club until June 2029 and, according to Transfermarkt, has a current market value of €18.00m. In the current Premier Liga season, he has made 16 appearances, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists.
