Fiorentina is considering 33-year-old German attacker Niclas Füllkrug as a reinforcement for coach Fabio Grosso's attack. The club is reportedly thinking about Füllkrug as a potential replacement for Roberto Piccoli, who is likely to be sold. While Mateo Pellegrino from Parma remains the first choice, the 20 million euro asking price is causing hesitation.
This has led the club's management, including Paratici, to look at more affordable profiles like Füllkrug, who has returned to West Ham from a loan at Milan, where he scored one goal in 20 Serie A appearances. West Ham values the player at a maximum of 3 million euros and might also allow him to leave on another loan. Newly-promoted Venezia is also reportedly interested in the forward. The forward has 24 caps and 14 goals for Germany. It was reported in April 2026 that AC Milan would not be activating a purchase option valued at €5 million. Füllkrug's move to West Ham from Borussia Dortmund in August 2024 was for a fee of €27 million.
