Feyenoord will soon make an offer for Middlesbrough goalkeeper Seny Dieng, as the club seeks a second keeper following the departure of Justin Bijlow. The 31-year-old Senegal international, who also holds Swiss citizenship, is contracted at Middlesbrough until mid-2027 but is no longer the first choice at his club. This season, he has not played in the Championship, making only three appearances for the reserve team in the Premier League 2. After making seventeen first-team appearances last season, he was rarely in the matchday squad during the second half of the campaign.
Before considering Dieng, Feyenoord had reportedly considered Go Ahead Eagles keeper Jari de Busser and Volendam's Kayne van Oevelen. Local media in Middlesbrough also linked Dieng with clubs in Turkey and a transfer to Hull City that was close but ultimately collapsed. Dieng, who has 9 caps for Senegal, joined Middlesbrough in July 2023 and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €1.20m.
