There are suggestions that Fenerbahçe could end their association with right-back Nelson Semedo because of his performance last season, and the club has reportedly identified an alternative in England. The Turkish side is now closely observing the circumstances surrounding Aaron Wan-Bissaka of West Ham United. The future of the 28-year-old Democratic Congolese footballer, who has 10 caps for his country, is said to be uncertain after his club's relegation, although his contract runs until 2031. He joined West Ham from Manchester United in August 2024 for a fee of €17.6 million.

Wan-Bissaka's market value is stated to be over 20 million Euros. It is claimed that Fenerbahçe is investigating different approaches to lower the transfer fee for a possible transfer. Some reports in May 2026 suggested West Ham would accept approximately £10 million. In addition to Fenerbahçe, several Premier League clubs have also been associated with the player.
