Fenerbahçe has allegedly begun official negotiations for 33-year-old winger Mohamed Salah. The club's management, which has reportedly been in talks with Salah's agent for some time, is planning the potential transfer for next season. Contact was initiated after the prospect of the Egyptian player leaving Liverpool, which he joined in July 2017, had previously been raised. The management is reportedly prepared to do what is necessary to sign Salah if his departure becomes certain, and it was also noted that if a transfer for him is not completed, a transfer for a player of a similar caliber will definitely be made.
Salah's contract runs until June 2027, and this season in the Premier League he has 4 goals and 3 assists in 14 appearances. Other clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain and Al Hilal, have also been linked with the player. Reports from December 2025 suggest potential offers from Saudi clubs could be in the €80-100 million range. Liverpool reportedly rejected an offer from Al-Ittihad in the summer of 2023 that was said to be as high as £150 million. Salah's current Transfermarkt market value is €30.00m.
