Everton are interested in Rangers centre-back Emmanuel Fernandez, and are among several top European clubs interested in the player. Rangers could receive a total of £35 million from his sale. Other Premier League sides including Arsenal, Chelsea, and West Ham are also associated with an interest in him, while Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen from the Bundesliga have also shown interest.
It is reported that Fernandez is open to a move to Germany. It is understood that Rangers are prepared to reject any approach below their valuation, as the club is in a strong position with Fernandez having a long-term contract until 2029. Manager Danny Rohl is said to want to keep the defender for at least another season. Peterborough director of football Barry Fry claimed Rangers might eventually receive a fee of £30m or even £40m for Fernandez. A transfer of around £35m would make Fernandez the most expensive sale in Rangers' history.
