Eintracht Frankfurt are considering signing a new goalkeeper, as neither Kauã Santos nor Michael Zetterer were seen as the desired reliable option last season. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Hessians are considering Swedish World Cup participant Jacob Widell Zetterström of Derby County. Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers are also reportedly interested in the 27-year-old.

It is said that contact has been made to inquire about a potential price. As Widell Zetterström will enter the final year of his contract in a few days, the interested clubs are hoping for a low transfer fee. However, his price is unlikely to be lowered by his recent decent performance over 90 minutes for Sweden against Japan. It is unclear if Eintracht views the keeper, who has played in the English second division for the past two years, as a potential new number one or as a backup. The Swedish international has 4 caps for his country and made 32 appearances in the Championship last season. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €2.50m.
