Coventry City has identified Thomas Strakosha as a target. Strakosha is reportedly having an excellent season as a goalkeeper for AEK Athens. Coventry is prepared to submit a purchase offer for the 30-year-old Albanian international in the summer, on the condition that the club secures promotion to the Premier League.
The probability of the transfer is considered quite high, as the English team is monitoring Strakosha ahead of a potential return to the top flight after a 25-year hiatus. Strakosha has 45 caps for his country and has made 21 appearances in the Super League 1 this season. He joined the Greek club in July 2024 and has a contract until June 2029. His current market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €2.50m.
