It is reported that Coventry City, a club from the Championship managed by Frank Lampard, is the most serious suitor for Cracovia's Polish defender Oskar Wójcik. Wójcik joined Cracovia in August 2020. The club is seeking reinforcements following its return to the Premier League. The Italian clubs Fiorentina and Bologna are also interested in the 22-year-old player, and Torino, another Serie A side, is monitoring him. Other clubs have also shown interest in Wójcik. Celtic nearly signed the defender in the winter with an offer of more than four million euros, and the Scottish club may attempt the transfer again in the summer.
Cracovia has a favorable negotiating position as Wójcik's contract is valid until June 2029. The club is reportedly seeking a fee of approximately five million euros, which would exceed their club record. It was also reported that other bids in the range of €2.5 million to €3 million were rejected during the winter. According to Transfermarkt, the player's current market value is €3.00m.
