Coventry City are interested in signing Union Berlin's Serbian striker Andrej Ilić as they prepare for their first season in the Premier League. The club is looking to sign a forward who has impressed in the German Bundesliga, and Ilic has recorded six goals and 12 assists in 34 games this season. Coventry face competition from Fulham, who have also identified the 26-year-old as a target to provide an alternative for Rodrigo Muniz and a replacement for Raul Jimenez.
This follows a failed attempt by Burnley to sign Ilic last January, as a deal did not materialize. Ilic joined Union Berlin in July 2025 and has a contract with the club until June 2027. In early 2026, reports suggested the German club would demand a fee between £7 million and £10 million. His move from LOSC Lille was for a confirmed fee of €5.0M.
