Corinthians confirms Lazio bid for Yuri Alberto but deems it too low

The Brazilian club has received a proposal for the transfer of the striker but the offer does not meet expectations.

Marcelo Paz, a Corinthians executive, confirmed that Lazio has submitted a proposal for Yuri Alberto but stated that the offer does not meet the club's expectations. Paz noted the proposal is with president Osmar and said the club expects a higher amount for the 24-year-old Brazilian. The executive described the player as a great attacker with rare qualities and declined to reveal the values. Last year, the club also rejected a R$ 190 million offer for the striker from Roma.

Corinthians owns 50% of Yuri Alberto's economic rights and would receive half of any transfer fee. Of the club's portion, 10% must be passed to agent André Cury as part of an agreement from when the player was signed from Zenit in 2023 under former president Duilio Monteiro Alves. Yuri Alberto's contract with Corinthians is valid until 2030. The forward has one cap for Brazil and a current market value of €22.00m, according to Transfermarkt. In addition to Lazio and Roma, Everton has also been linked with the player. Throughout 2025, Corinthians reportedly rejected several offers, including bids of €30 million from Roma, West Ham, and Wolves.
