Club Brugge is reportedly considering Hibernian FC's defensive midfielder, Miguel Chaiwa, as a potential replacement for midfielder Raphael Onyedika. Club Brugge has recently requested new information on the 21-year-old Zambian international. Genoa CFC and Toulouse FC have also made inquiries. Celtic is also interested in the player, but it is reported that Hibernian would prefer to sell him to a club outside of Scotland rather than to a domestic rival.
The interest has so far remained at the information-gathering stage, although this could change as the season ends. Chaiwa, who has 16 caps for Zambia, joined Hibernian in August 2025 and is under contract until May 2028, with a current market value from Transfermarkt of €1.20m. In April 2026, reports suggested a transfer to Celtic could be completed for a fee between £1 million and £2 million. A month earlier, Hibernian's asking price was reportedly at least £3 million.
