Danish international Christian Eriksen, an attacking midfielder who is 34 and under contract with VfL Wolfsburg until mid-2027, has stated that he is certainly open to a return to Ajax. During an Ajax Life event, when questioned about a potential comeback, he initially joked that the question should be directed to Siem de Jong. When asked directly if he would want to come to Ajax this summer, Eriksen affirmed that he would.
De Jong, who was also present and has a new role in Ajax's management, responded humorously that he did not yet have enough influence to finalize a deal. Eriksen joined Wolfsburg in September 2025 and has 149 caps and 46 goals for Denmark. His current market value is €3.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
