Celtic are reportedly considering a move for Crystal Palace's 22-year-old Northern Ireland international midfielder Justin Devenny, who has one year remaining on his contract. Devenny could be a midfield target for Martin O’Neill’s team, and a potential fee of £6m has been quoted. The club faces competition from other English clubs and teams in Italy.
Devenny is considered an option for Celtic because he would qualify as a homegrown player for European competitions and can play in central midfield as well as at left wingback. It is also mentioned that the player is a Celtic supporter, which could potentially influence his decision. Devenny joined Crystal Palace in July 2024 and has 14 caps and one goal for Northern Ireland. His market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €12.00m. Other recently linked clubs include Cagliari, Southampton, Preston North End, Middlesbrough and Leicester City.
