Celtic and Rangers may renew their interest in Sheffield United striker Tyrese Campbell, who is about to enter the final year of his contract. The Glasgow clubs enquired about the 26-year-old's availability in the January window, but it was indicated Sheffield United would not sell or loan out one of their main strikers while they were struggling in the Championship. Both Scottish clubs have continued to scout and monitor Campbell.

The two clubs were also interested in the player in 2020 when he was nearing the end of his contract at Stoke. With just over 12 months remaining on his current deal, Sheffield United could seek to sell him rather than risk losing him for free next season, as it is uncertain if he can be convinced to sign a new contract. Campbell, who joined Sheffield United in August 2024, has scored six goals and provided two assists in 34 Championship appearances this season. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €9.00m.
