Burnley are active in the transfer market, with the latest reports linking them to former Rangers captain James Tavernier. Our analysis of the past seven days shows the club has been tied to four possible arrivals and four potential exits. The hottest storyline right now revolves around a bid for striker Emmanuel Latte Lath, but below are the latest updates on the most important transfer rumours surrounding the club.

James Tavernier

James Tavernier transfer card On Friday, it was reported that English right-back James Tavernier, 34, has a number of options after his contract at Ibrox expired, including Burnley, Derby, and West Ham. MLS side Charlotte is also reportedly the primary contender for the former Rangers player. A potential move to Burnley is conditional on the exit of their current right-back, Kyle Walker. Tavernier, who registered 144 goals and 148 assists during his time at Rangers, would add experience and a significant threat from dead balls to Burnley's back line. His current market value is €500k, according to Transfermarkt.

Emmanuel Latte Lath

According to Alan Nixon via his Patreon on Thursday, Burnley have submitted a loan-to-buy offer to Atlanta United for centre-forward Emmanuel Latte Lath. The deal for the Ivory Coast international is structured as an initial loan with a guaranteed purchase obligation if the Clarets are promoted back to the Premier League. The proposal is said to be the best offer Atlanta has received, and his standing at the club has reportedly declined.

Dennis Cirkin

Strengthening the defence is a priority for Burnley, and on Tuesday it was noted the club is monitoring Dennis Cirkin, a 24-year-old Latvian left-back. Burnley is also aware of interest in the player from the Bundesliga. Cirkin is currently a free agent and his market value is €6.00m, according to Transfermarkt. Several Championship clubs, including Middlesbrough and Stoke City, have also been linked with the player.

Luca Koleosho

On Tuesday, Italian daily Corriere Fiorentino reported that Fiorentina have found that negotiations with Burnley for winger Luca Koleosho are difficult. Although Fiorentina felt they were close to a deal, Burnley remain hesitant about letting Koleosho join and seem to be trying to get the highest possible price. The English club are demanding a fee significantly higher than the €10m offer made by Fiorentina, and the potential transfer has not progressed significantly.

Jaydon Banel

According to WFCGroningen on Friday, Anderlecht has had positive talks with Jaydon Banel, and the player is reportedly charmed by a transfer to Belgium. Antoine Sibierski, Anderlecht's sporting director, stated to La Dernière Heure that he is demanding regarding the profiles Anderlecht attracts. A deal appears financially feasible. Burnley has the most negotiating power because of Banel's contract, which runs until 2029, but his need to play is beneficial for interested clubs.
